Kasumi Kanai 
From Nagoya Japan

When I was working for a company, I decided to be a caricaturist. 
I wanted to give laughter and surprises to people by doing caricatures. 
Although I had painted illustrations as a hobby originally, 
I started learning painting seriously as an adult. 
After gaining a lot of experience, 
In 1999 I joined the biggest caricature-art production association, 
"OEKAKITAI (Artist corps)", in Aichi Prefecture. 
More than ten years have passed since I joined the association, 
and I have achievements as a professional portrait artist in various locations. 
I became independent from the association to expand my activities in 2012.
 Now I've been newly working as a free-lance NIGAOE artist (caricaturist).

*2004 Fourth place in the NCN (National Caricature Network)
*2006 Speed section victory of the NCN (National Caricature Network)
*2011 Second place in the "Nigaoe-rakuza-ryuousyo (caricature competition in Japan)" 
*2011 Hakata face lock. The second synthesis place. Prize of　Hakata's　beautiful woman.
*2012 Yoshimoto Kogyo entertainers likeness contest. I was elected the excellent art in August.  
*2013 ISCA mini-convention in South Korea. Highest award(in studio work categories).
